Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography

I first stumbled across I first stumbled across Rangefinder Magazine a few years ago when a handful of the most inspiring photographers I followed got recognized by the Top 30 Rising Stars edition of 2012. Since then it has always been on my radar. I hoped one day to be considered for it, but I never quite knew how to go about it.

A few months ago I got the email that I had been nominated for 2014. Turns out that you have to be nominated by a select group of industry leaders to be considered for the running. That, for me, was more than enough to get overly excited about. I still don’t know exactly who it was that “got me in,” but I’m forever grateful for the nod of approval.

The judging process took just long enough for me to forget about checking my email. And just like that, out of the blue again, I was ecstatic to find an email from the editor of Rangefinder Magazine notifying me that I made it in.
